Extra large, high quality needle board for safely pressing velvet. The pressing surface is an amazing 27" X 12" (69cm X 30cm). Needle boards are the best way to achieve professional-looking flat seams in velvet. We recommend using two layers of velvet -- a scrap of velvet face up on the needle board and then your garment velvet face down on top of that. Press lightly, and use lots of steam. The needles allow the steam to go all the way through, and -- especially on very sensitive velvets, such as silk and woodgy rayon velvet -- the steam does the majority of the work. Made in Japan.
